MUST LISTEN: Harlan, Esiason Provide Memorable Radio Call As State Trooper, Security Guard Tackle Fans On Field At Jets Game
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you turned on your radio at just the right moment to listen to the Jets-Colts game Monday night, you might have mistook it for a WWE broadcast.
About midway through the third quarter at MetLife Stadium, with the Jets trailing 31-3, two teen boys ran onto the field.
The ESPN broadcast did not show the events, but Westwood One's Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason provided the play-by-play -- or more like blow-by-blow.
"Now it's the biggest cheer of the night as we've got a couple of idiots running out on the field right now, taking their shirts off, running all over the place," Esiason said. "And the last person that I would want to run into is a New Jersey state trooper."
Just as Esiason was finishing his thought, a state trooper tackled one of the fans. Seconds later, a security guard took down the other trespasser.

"Ooooh! Did you see that tackle? Oooooh! And the other guy's knocked down!" said Harlan, who produced perhaps the best call of the NFL season in Week 1, when a shirtless fan bolted onto the field during another Monday night dud between the 49ers and Rams.
"They're actually hitting harder than the Jets' defense," Esiason commented. " ... Don't be messing with the state troopers, man, I'm telling you."
"They don't play that game," Harlan countered.
The teens have been charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction and underage drinking, CBS2's Magdalena Doris reported. Because they are minors, police have not released their names.
