Jets CB Cromartie Expected To Be Game-Time Decision Against Dolphins
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Antonio Cromartie did not practice because of an ailing hip, and the New York Jets cornerback could be a game-time decision Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Head coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday that it's "tough to call" whether Cromartie will be able to play, but is hopeful because of the cornerback's history of durability.
Cromartie left New York's loss at Baltimore last Sunday in the fourth quarter after hurting his hip, which bothered him earlier this season. Cromartie has missed only one game — the regular-season finale in 2010 when the Jets rested most of their starters before the playoffs.
Wide receivers Jeremy Kerley (elbow) and Santonio Holmes (hamstring), center Nick Mangold (wrist), running back Chris Ivory (ankle), tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. (knee) and linebacker Garrett McIntyre (knee) were all limited.
