JetBlue Flight From JFK Turns Back After Bird Strike
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A JetBlue plane was forced to turn back shortly after taking off from John F. Kennedy International Airport due to a bird strike, the airline said Sunday morning.
JetBlue flight 721 bound for Nassau, the Bahamas, turned back as a precaution just before 10 a.m. Airline officials said it was not a direct bird strike.
All passengers and crew members are reported safe, according to JetBlue.
There was a similar incident Saturday afternoon when a Dominican Republic-bound JetBlue flight was hit by a bird and headed back.
