Jersey City Man Accused Of Groping Teen Holding Baby
JERSEY CITY, NJ (AP) -- Jersey City police say a man kissed and exposed himself to a 19-year-old mother who was holding her baby.
Twenty-four-year-old Michael Monroe is charged with aggravated sexual assault, attempted sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The woman told police she was holding her 1-year-old daughter in the hallway of an apartment building on Thursday when Monroe approached and complimented her daughter.
Police say Monroe then grabbed the woman and tried to take off her pants.
Police told The Journal of Jersey City the woman fought back and with the help of her sister, chased Monroe out of the building.
