Jersey City Cop, Working With U.S. Marshals, Shot During Investigation In Elizabeth
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Jersey City Police officer, working in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service, was wounded during an investigation just after 10 p.m. Thursday in Elizabeth, officials said.
Officer Jesse Soto accidentally shot himself in the abdomen while trying to help track down a carjacking suspect, CBS 2 reports.
Soto was transported to University Hospital and was said to be in stable condition.
