Jerry Seinfeld To Join SNY Booth For Tuesday's Mets Game
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Cue the laugh track: Jerry Seinfeld will join the New York Mets' television broadcast on Tuesday.
The comic is a longtime fan of the team. He will appear on the SNY pregame show and then join Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling for the call of the game against the San Francisco Giants.
Seinfeld also broadcast a game between the Mets and Detroit on June 23, 2010.
Seinfeld made headlines this summer for blasting boo-bird fans after the All-Star Game at Citi Field.
"This is one of the lowest moments of my lifetime of Mets fandom, when the Citi Field crowd was booing (players) that they see as rivals to their Mets team," Seinfeld told WFAN radio on July 17. "And I'm standing there, I was in shock. I was embarrassed. I thought it was horrible manners."
Another comedian, Bill Maher, bought a minority ownership stake in the Mets last year.
