Jay Cutler Leaves Game With Knee Injury
CHICAGO (AP) — Bears quarterback Jay Cutler left Sunday's NFC championship game in the third quarter because of a knee injury, and Chicago tried two more QBs in hopes of rallying against Green Bay.
Cutler was replaced by Todd Collins with Chicago trailing 14-0.
It was not clear which knee Cutler injured or when it happened.
Cutler was having a rough afternoon, going 6 for 14 with 80 yards and an interception. Collins, who had played sparingly this season, lasted two series before third-stringer Caleb Hanie replaced him late in the third period.
Hanie, who had thrown for a total of 66 yards in his two seasons in the NFL, directed a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter that pulled the Bears within 14-7.
