Jason Aldean Speeds By All Genres To "Take A Little Ride" Atop The iTunes Charts
Jason Aldean's newest single "Take A Little Ride" is taking a big ride on the iTunes charts. The lead single off his fifth studio album was released Monday, July 16 and by Wednesday July 18, it had already hit the top spot across the all-genre chart kicking rapper Flo Rida and pop sensation Katy Perry from the throne.
"We've never come out of the box and gone to number one so quickly," admits Jason. "I added the song into my set this weekend on the road for the first time, and everything is feeling really great out there. I couldn't have asked for a better kick off for this new album … my fans are unbelievable.”
His fifth studio album is currently untitled but is slated for a fall release and features a song written by fellow country star Chuck Wicks. "You can't get any hotter than that guy," Chuck opens up to Taste of Country. "I'm such a fan of his. I love him as a person, and I love his music. He's talented as all get out, so it was a big deal when he said he was going to cut one of my songs."
Just days before releasing his new single, Jason already saw the weight of his celebrity after selling out two shows in Indianapolis and St. Louis in under five minutes. The two venues hold a combined 44,000 country fans.
