Jason Aldean Playing Wrigley Field And Fenway Park Next Summer

Jason Aldean is going to bring his "Night Train" to a couple of legendary baseball stadiums next summer--Boston's Fenway Park and Chicago's Wrigley Field. Both of these historic parks are also among the biggest venues the country star has ever played.

In the midst of a busy album release week, Aldean spent the day traveling. His first stop was Boston for a morning announcement inside Fenway; he then flew west to Chicago for a second press conference at Wrigley. The details in each case remained under wraps up until the moment of each announcement, but Jason tweeted numerous times, dropping hints and clues as to where he was going, and what the trip was all about.

At a mid-afternoon press conference  at Chicago's Wrigley Field, and accompanied by Chicago Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts, Aldean announced that he will bring his 2013 Night Train Tour to the legendary stadium next summer.

The concert will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2013, and it will also feature Kelly ClarksonJake Owen, and Thomas Rhett.

"There were a lot of places we could have gone, but to us it was about playing places that meant something," Jason said during the Chicago press conference. He admitted to being a "big baseball fan," so of course, "to get a chance to come and play a place like [Wrigley Field], that has so much history, is really exciting."

The Wrigley date puts Jason in some pretty top-notch company. Brad Paisley brought his Virtual Reality tour to Wrigley Field earlier this summer, and Bruce Springsteen also had a two-night stand there.

Tickets for the Chicago date go on sale on Saturday, November 3 at 10am and will be available LiveNation.com, Tickets.com or 1-800-THE-CUBS.

Earlier this morning, Aldean was in New England to announce a show next summer at another historic venue, Boston's Fenway Park. That announcement also took place during a live press conference.

"Being the first country music artist to ever come here and headline a show is amazing," Aldean said. "It's going to be a fun night."

The Boston show takes place July 13, 2013, and it marks the first country show at Fenway. Opening acts for that show include Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen, and Thomas Rhett.

Aldean's album Night Train is in stores now.
