Jane Pauley: 5 Fast Facts On 'CBS Sunday Morning's' New Host

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- CBS is capped off its tribute to Charles Osgood as "Sunday Morning'' host by naming Jane Pauley as his successor.

Here are five things you should know about the new host of 'CBS Sunday Morning:'

• Pauley worked 13 years as "Today'' show anchor ending her run there in 1989.
• Following her work on the "Today" show, Pauley worked for 12 years as co-host on NBC's "Dateline"
• In 1975, Pauley became the first woman to ever anchor a weekly evening broadcast with her debut as anchor on WMAQ-TV in Chicago.
• Pauley is the author of "Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue," a personal memoir highlighting her life and career in American journalism.
• Pauley is married to cartoonist Garry Trudeau, and is mother to three children.

Pauley has been a contributor to the show since 2014. CBS said Sunday she was asked to join after the show did a feature on a book she had written about changing careers after age 50.
