Jack Ingram Teams With Matthew McConaughey, Mack Brown To Benefit Kids
Country singer Jack Ingram is doing more than just playing catchy tunes these days.
Teaming up with actor Matthew McConaughey and Mack Brown, head football coach of the University of Texas, Ingram and company just announced their special, two-day event called Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M), which is set to take place April 11-12, 2013 in Austin, Texas.
MJ&M is a nationwide effort to benefit multiple charities that support children empowerment with a goal of making a difference in the lives of underserved children.
“We wanted to create a true, lasting impact and that inspired us to come together,” said
Jack Ingram in a press release.
MJ&M came together as an organization headed by Sally and Mack Brown, Amy and Jack Ingram, and Camila and Matthew McConaughey that will be hosted annually. By uniting forces, they are able to maximize their impact on organizations across the nation.
“Our commitment to children’s charities and our passion to empower kids is why we joined together to create this important effort,” said all three in a joint statement. “This is a great opportunity for everyone in Texas to make a big impact across the entire country.”
The first event takes place next year on April 11 and 12, and it will include “celebrity-filled, one-of-a-kind events across Austin, Texas.”
“We are thrilled to be joined by our dear friends in this effort to empower today’s youth and provide them with a promising future,” said Sally and Mack Brown.
