Investigators Search For Answers In Clark, N.J. Murder One Year Later
CLARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Clark, N.J. woman was found dead in her home a year ago Sunday, and police have asked for the public's help to solve the murder on the one-year anniversary.
As WCBS 880's Jim Smith reported, in the year since Vera Pecoraro was found stabbed to death in her home on her 74th birthday, "our investigators, detectives have been working tirelessly on this case trying to solve it," said Union County Prosecutor Gracie Park.

Park said they still have not figured out who was responsible.
"We don't think this is a random act," she said. "We think it was targeted."
Now, Park is asking neighbors near the Rolling Hill Way home to jog their memories from a year ago.
She said prosecutors are looking for "anything small, like an unusual sound or activity. Any car or van that was unfamiliar to the neighborhood."
Investigators said Pecoraro's son, Anthony, discovered her body on Saturday. The doors were locked from the inside and there were no signs of forced entry or robbery.
"We did not find that the house was in any way ransacked either, so that and some other evidence near the body led us to suspect it might have been a suicide," Prosecutor Ted Romankow said at the time.
Further investigation, however, revealed the woman was murdered, 1010 WINS' Sonia Rincon reported at the time.
A $5,000 reward has been posted.
