FDNY Rescues 2 People From Inflatable Swan Float In East River
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The FDNY rescued two people from the East River after they fell off an inflatable swan float.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday near 55th Street in Manhattan.
Fire officials said the float was overcome by a fast-moving current.
They urge people to only enter bodies of water that allow swimming and have lifeguards on duty.
