In the cafe, there is a blunt assessment over a photo of embattled President Hosni Mubarak in English. One sign reads, "Leave and let us live."
But what's next?
He didn't want to give his name, but this Egyptian New Yorker is optimistic.
"You have to be a friend to Israel and to the United States of America. America help everybody. None of the Egyptian people have any reason to fight with Israel," the man said.
WCBS 880 reporter Paul Murnane asked him, "So the next government will be a U.S. friend?
"Hundred percent," the man answered.
Another man said that anyone is better than Mubarak, for him the game is over.
