Icy Conditions Blamed For Multi-Vehicle Pileup In Nassau County
NORTH MERRICK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Icy conditions were blamed Monday evening for a multi-vehicle pileup in Nassau County.
Meadowbrook State Parkway was closed at Southern State Parkway in North Merrick following the accident.
Nassau County police said multiple cars were involved in the accident at 8:08 p.m., but it was not clear exactly how many.
A police patrol car was among the vehicles involved, police said.
Police said the crash was "most likely" due to the icy conditions Monday night, WCBS 880 reported.
No one was seriously injured.
Other accidents were also reported as a result of the weather. One person flipped a vehicle near Coram on Route 25 Monday night.
