Huntington Station Residents Demand Stronger Police Presence In Wake Of Four Unsolved Murders
HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Four unsolved homicides in a just over a year have many Huntington Station residents angry and scared.
Hundreds of residents converged on Huntington Town Hall Tuesday night demanding a stronger police presence and protection following four killings since last October.

County Executive Steve Bellone and Police Chief James Burke were shouted down by the angry crowd, even as they promised to make crime fighting a top priority in the neighborhood, WCBS 880's Mike Xirinachs reported.
One resident, who has a pregnant wife and young child, told Xirinachs that he's frustrated.
"Something needs to be done, it's a big problem," the man, named Jason, said. "We're ready to move, we're thinking about packing up and leaving, that's how bad it is. My wife doesn't want to walk the streets alone."
Last week, 18-year-old Maggie Rosales was found stabbed to death on Lynch Street near Depot Road.
In July, a 25-year-old man was shot in the head on East Ninth Street.
In June, 38-year-old Luis Ramos-Rodriguez was found behind a building on New York Avenue lying on the ground with a stab wound. He died at the hospital.
On Oct. 3, 2013, the body of Sarah Strobel, 23, was discovered off a walking path at the Froehlich Farm Nature Preserve.
