Hunt Continues In NJ For Wig-Wearing Bank Robbery Suspect
GLEN ROCK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- New Jersey police are on the hunt for an armed bank robbery suspect wearing a wig who they say got away with a whole lot of cash.
It happened at the Glen Rock Savings Bank around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities said the bandit walked into the bank, pointed a gun at the teller and demanded money before making off with more than $100,000 in cash.
The suspect was described as being 5'7'' with a medium build. It was not immediately clear if the suspect was a man or a woman.
Authorities said he or she wore large sunglasses, white boots and what investigators said appeared to be a red wig and carried a large hand gun and a large purse or bag.

"It's an unfortunate situation, but it happens," he said. "We just want to make sure everybody remains safe, that includes our customers."
Police stress this is an isolated incident and say residents have no reason to fear.
