How To Sell Your Home: Tips From A&E's Tanya Memme
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Selling your home remains a challenge in this shaky economy.
That's why making your abode look as appealing as possible is so important. On A&E's hit home improvement show, "Sell This House Extreme," host Tanya Memme helps people fix up their homes as they look to get top dollar for their house.
Memme joined The Couch to share some valuable tips on how to properly stage your home.
De-personalize. Take down all of your pictures, as they can distract home buyers. Go for the look of a nice hotel room. Prospective buyers want to feel like no one else has been there before them.
De-clutter. Keep the essential pieces of furniture. Get rid of trinkets and personal objects, especially in the kitchen.
Keep it fresh. New bedding and updated items keep rooms looking contemporary.
Memme had plenty of more quick tips, including which smells most intrigue home buyers. Check out the video below for her full interview. Her show airs Saturday (11 a.m.) on A&E.
