NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- An Upper West Side woman was charged in the stabbing deaths of two children in a 75th street luxury apartment building on Saturday.
Yoselyn Ortega, 50, was arrested and charged with two counts each of first and second degree murder in the deaths of Lucia Krim and her brother Leo, according to authorities.
Marina Krim returned home to her luxury apartment building at 75th and Columbus Avenue to find her 2-year-old son, Leo and Lucia, in a bathtub. Each had been stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife, police said.
Krim's husband, Kevin Krim, who is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of CNBC Digital, had just returned from a business trip and was reportedly told the devastating news at the airport.
Marina Krim kept a loving blog about her children on livejournal.com called "Life With The Little Krim Kids." It was filled with thousands of posts and pictures.
Ortega had been at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center recuperating from what are believed to be self-inflicted wounds inflicted at the crime scene, when she was questioned by detectives.
