Holland Tunnel To Reopen On Wednesday Morning
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Holland Tunnel will reopen to all traffic, starting at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said.
The tunnel had been closed to regular traffic since before Superstorm Sandy struck last week.
Buses were already being allowed through one lane of the north tube.
Wednesday will mark the first day the tunnel will be fully operational since Hurricane Sandy hit the Tri-State Area.
An estimated 91,000 vehicles use the Holland Tunnel to commute between New York and New Jersey, Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office said.
