Hit-And-Run Leaves Man Dead In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was struck and killed this weekend in a hit-and-run accident in Brooklyn.
Around 9:35 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck at Eastern and Rockaway parkways, on the cusp of the Crown Heights and Brownsville sections of Brooklyn.
Officers found the 51-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive on the ground, police said.
An investigation revealed that the man was crossing Eastern Parkway from north to south when he was hit by a four-door black sedan headed west on the roadway, police said.
The driver fled the scene before police arrived.
There were no arrests as of Sunday night, and the investigation continued.
