Hit-And-Run Leaves L.I. Bicyclist Dead
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (AP) -- Police said a Long Island man riding his bike was struck and killed by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Police in Suffolk County said 45-year-old Paz Espinal was on his bike at 8:18 p.m. Monday when he was struck by a white car traveling southbound on Fifth Avenue in Brentwood.
The Brentwood resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation was ongoing Tuesday.
