Hillary Clinton Hasn't Held Press Conference In 263 Days

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A lot has happened in the past 263 days, but a Hillary Clinton press conference isn't one of them.

The Democratic presidential nominee's campaign manager was asked today on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" why Clinton hasn't held a press conference since Dec. 5, 2015.

Robby Mook said Clinton "is out there answering questions."

"As I said, she's done over 300 interviews this year and she takes questions in a variety of formats and we're going to keep looking at that," Mook told "Morning Joe."

This comes after The Associated Press reported Tuesday that more than half the people outside the government who met Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money to the Clinton Foundation.

According to the AP, at least 85 of 154 people with private interests who either met or had phone conversations scheduled with Clinton and also gave to her family's charities. The 85 donors contributed as much as $156 million total.

"Like I said … we're considering everything every day. She has been answering questions, she's going to continue to do that," Mook told "Morning Joe." "I think all we would ask is that people don't cherry pick, you know, 100-something meetings and then say that half of them were with Clinton Foundation donors at the exclusion of 1,700 other meetings."

There are 75 days left until the election.

On Tuesday, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel held a fundraising luncheon for Clinton at their home. According to CBS News, Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes and Jennifer Anniston attended the fundraiser which raised more than $3 million.

A recent NBC News/SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll showed Clinton leading Trump nationally by 8 points – 50 to 42 percent.
