High Winds Blow Over Sandy Victim's Freeport Home
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- It was whole new nightmare for a Freeport family that was trying to rebuild after Superstorm Sandy.
High winds blew their home off of its supports on Friday night.
The structure had been raised so workers could lay a new foundation on Saturday.
"The concrete company was coming this morning. We were here last night celebrating that we were happy the foundation was getting poured, then all of a sudden the house started moving and it fell down," the homeowner told CBS 2.
The homeowner said that the work could have been finished weeks ago but was held up by permit delays.
