Here We Go Again? Tim Tebow Works Out For Eagles In Philly
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Are you ready for another dose of Tebow Time?
It might be on its way.
Quarterback Tim Tebow worked out for the Eagles on Monday. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the news, and the team later confirmed that the report was accurate.
The former — and polarizing — New York Jets quarterback "has been working out diligently" with QB guru Tom House, the Boston Globe reported last week. It was reported that he might participate in the veteran combine this month in Arizona, but he has decided to pass.
Tebow hasn't taken a regular-season snap since 2012. House told the Globe that the former Heisman winner "went from being a little inaccurate and didn't throw a whole lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball."
Tebow, 27, was traded from Denver to New York in 2012 and released by the Jets after one tumultuous year as Mark Sanchez's backup. He was picked up by New England and cut during the 2013 preseason.
He now serves as an analyst for the SEC Network.
"I'd rather be in shorts," Tebow told The Associated Press in August.
Tebow, oft-criticized for his throwing style, never lived up to the hype following his 12-touchdown season with the Broncos in 2011, which included a dramatic playoff win against Pittsburgh. He had just six completions for 39 yards in 2012, his lone season with the Jets — and his last in the league.
