Henry Kissinger Praises TSA Agents After Patdown At LaGuardia Airport
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Even a former Secretary of State can't escape a patdown from the Transportation Security Administration.
Security agents at LaGuardia Airport patted down 88-year-old Nobel prize winner Henry Kissinger last Friday as he headed to Toronto.
Kissinger said it's nothing unusual and that he's often searched during airport security screenings because he wears a brace on his foot and can't remove his shoes.
In a statement, Kissinger praised the TSA for their "professionalism" and "courtesy" while performing what he calls "an important job.''
The TSA released a statement saying, "There was no indication of anything out of the ordinary with Mr. Kissinger's checkpoint experience."
