Hempstead Town Clerk Mark Bonilla Accused Of Sexual Harassment, Blackmail
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- One Long Island town employee is facing some rather damning allegations.
Authorities said that there were four workers in the Hempstead Town Clerk's Office who complained about Mark Bonilla, including two women who said they were sexually harassed.
Bonilla, who has been the town's clerk for nearly 10 years, is also accused of trying to obtain intimate photos of one of his female accusers to both discredit her and to silence her. The Nassau County District Attorney's Office said that Bonilla tried to force one of her ex-boyfriends, who also works in the clerk's office, to give him the photos.

Town Supervisor Kate Murray said Saturday that Bonilla should resign.
"This is a terrible day," Murray told WCBS 880's Sophia Hall. "We have a zero-tolerance policy in Hempstead for all persons in authority."
Bonilla, who is married with four children, denies the charges. His lawyer said that they're merely allegations.
