A health advisory committee has recommended that certain cancers be included in coverage under the Zadroga Act.

"The blood cancers, the myelomas, the leukemias, the Non-Hodgkins, and the organs that act as filters in the digestive system in the body," said victims advocate John Feal, but he is not completely satisfied. "This is a milestone. This is a victory. But I can't share the enthusiam when I know people are suffering."

Most notably, brain and pancreatic cancers are not covered.

The head of the World Trade Center health program now needs to give his approval and eventually it will be up to Congress to decide.
