Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing At Bethpage Golf Course

OLD BETHPAGE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - The weather was so bad this morning that a helicopter had to make an emergency landing on a Long Island golf course.

WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs, standing on the green at Bethpage State Park, said it was something he'd never seen before.

The chopper set down at the 18th hole while en route from New Jersey to Republic Airport, about a half mile away.
