Health Warning: Measles Diagnosed In Rockland County Child
SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - An infant in Spring Valley is recovering from measles and the Rockland County health department wants people to watch for symptoms over the next couple of weeks.
Those symptoms include fever, a red rash, and swollen eyes.
This watch is primarily for those that haven't been vaccinated and were at one of three stores.

One store is the Hatzlacha Grocery at 126 Maple Avenue in Spring Valley, if you were there last Wednesday between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The others are Toys 4 U and Supreme Health Food Center, both at 27 Orchard Street in Monsey, if you were there last Monday between 6:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.
Acting Health Commissioner Kathleen Henry says vaccinations have virtually knocked out measles in this country, but some parents still choose not to inoculate.
"But we are still seeing isolated cases that become clusters and now that the world is global, we're seeing transmission can be across continents," Henry told WCBS 880's Sean Adams.
The child likely became infected from someone in Brooklyn, Henry said.
There have been nearly three dozen cases of measles in some Orthodox Jewish communities.
