Harlem Globetrotters To Perform For Hometown Fans
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The Harlem Globetrotters are on their way back to the Tri-State area for a week-long schedule of entertaining hoops.
CBS 2's Cindy Hsu and Don Dahler spoke with Globetrotters Buckets Blakes and Curly Neal about their current 270-game North American tour. Part of their tour is played with a pink basketball in honor of breast cancer awareness. The Globetrotters are also visiting almost 300 schools across America in an effort to combat bullying in schools.
"Our ABC's of Bully Prevention program…We are going to talk to kids about not bullying in schools so they can have a care free environment to learn in," said Blakes.
One of the most recognizable Globetrotters, Curly Neal has his number 22 retired in Madison Square Garden.
Tickets are currently on sale for their games on Feb. 15 through Feb. 18, when they will play at the IZOD Center, Prudential Center, Madison Square Garden and Nassau Coliseum. For more information, click here.
