NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A social discovery app is revealing some interesting character traits of neighborhoods in New York City.
The iPhone app Wyst, touted by its creators as a "new kind of message in a bottle," lets users make geo-tagged notes and photos wherever they go.

It also allows people to tag their posts with one of seven moods -- happy, sad, surprised, drunk, angry, flirty or fun.
So what do the notes tell you about the city?
- Financial District -- Angriest
- SoHo -- Happiest
- Williamsburg -- Drunkest
- Clinton Hill -- Saddest
- Union Square -- Flirtiest
Wyst's creators say the idea for the app, which was "handcrafted in Brooklyn," came from the following question:
"Wouldn't it be awesome to freeze this moment in time, in this place, so that when someone else passes by this same spot they can find it and experience it themselves?"
