Parks and recreation superintendent Peter Mandras says you have to have rules with so many out for town play space.
"We had over 15,000 field users and organized programs on our fields last year. Baseball, soccer, lacrosse, all the high school teams, rugby," says Mandras.
About ten locations in town are being studied as possible alternatives, he says, and the town is listening.
"It's their thing. So we want to build on that and keep them as partners and make a partnership, a true private-public partnership out of this," says Mandras.
The players and the town are engaged in a dialogue to try to make this work.
