Graham Rallies Nets At The Buzzer
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) Stephen Graham hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer and the New Jersey Nets rallied from a seven-point deficit in the final 15 seconds to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 90-89 on Saturday in a preseason game.
Anthony Morrow cut the 76ers' 88-81 lead to four points with a 3-pointer with just under 13 seconds to play, then the Nets took advantage of poor free throw shooting by Philadelphia to get the improbable win.
Jrue Holiday missed two free throws with 12 seconds to play to keep the Nets alive and Jordan Farmar nailed a 3-pointer from the left corner with 9.0 seconds to go to cut the lead to 88-87.
Andres Nocioni hit the first of two free throws with 7.9 seconds to go but missed the second.
With no timeouts remaining, Devin Harris rushed the ball upcourt and found a wide-open Graham for a high-arcing 3-pointer that hit nothing but net.
The win was the second for the Nets (2-1) over Philadelphia (0-3) under new coach Doug Collins.
