Gov. Christie To Iowa Voters: Vote For Romney Or I'll Be Back 'Jersey Style'
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie issued a stern warning to Iowa voters at a campaign rally for Mitt Romney Friday.
Romney was in West Des Moines, as were 5 other Republican presidential candidates, as they all hope to set the tone for the upcoming race with a win at the state's caucus on Tuesday.
Christie was on hand to back the former Massachusetts governor. After giving Romney a glowing endorsement and taking a jab at Obama, the governor of the Garden State turned his attention to the people of Iowa.
"The fight to take back the White House starts on Tuesday night and it starts here in Iowa," Christie said. "We are counting on you to get out there."
Never one to beat around the bush, Christie quickly spoke of the repercussions Iowans could expect if Romney didn't get the win.
"You people disappoint me on Tuesday, and I will be back – Jersey style, people," Christie told voters. "I will be back."
Tri-State residents may be used to Christie's brash tone. What do you think the voters in Iowa thought of his "threat"? Do you think they will listen?
