NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Music mogul, club owner, partial proprietor of an NBA team, and husband to the 'most beautiful woman'-- Jay-Z has a pretty full resume, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't throw his hat into the political ring in years to come.

Jay-Z, an ardent supporter of President Obama since the beginning, sat down with CNN's Poppy Harlow during a recent trip to Philadelphia to promote a local music festival.
Harlow pressed the rapper for his opinion on President Obama's recent remarks in support of the gay marriage.
Jay-Z said it was, "the right thing to do."
But he didn't stop there. It appears that the rapper has given the topic quite a bit of thought.
"I've always thought it as something that was still holding the country back," Jay-Z said, referencing the fact that same-sex marriage is not recognized nationwide.
"What people do in their own homes is their business, and you can choose to love whoever you love. That's their business. It's no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple."
When asked if he thought the President's stance would lose him votes among minority voters come election time, Jay-Z's answer was simple: "It's really not about votes," he said. "It's about people."
Bloomberg, watch your back, it looks like you have some competition when it comes to diplomatic speeches.
