Gotham Gossipist: Honda Releases Entire 'Ferris Bueller' Super Bowl Ad Prior To Big Game
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- As Giants fans across the Tri-State area prep for their team's appearance at the big game this weekend, fans of the classic 80s film Ferris Bueller's Day Off also have something to look forward to.
Teaser videos of Matthew Broderick playing hooky in a very familiar manner have had the Internet buzzing with rumors that Broderick would be reprising his most famous role in a sequel to the movie.
As it turns out, the clips are actually a Super Bowl ad. After the teasers were leaked all over the web, Honda decided to release the entire extended version (over 2 minutes long!) on YouTube.
Broderick is the only original cast member to make an appearance in the ad, but the lengthy spot does a great job of including the majority of classic Bueller moments in a condensed recreation.
In lieu of an apathetic teacher, this version features a bored valet delivering the classic deadpan, "Broderick...Broderick...Broderick."
