Google's NYC Headquarters To Aid Applied Sciences Campus
NEW YORK (CBSNewYorkAP) -- Google's New York City headquarters is set to become the temporary home of the city's new applied sciences campus.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Monday that the company will put aside 22,000 square feet of office space for the new CornellNYC Tech program starting this July.

"Technology continues to do more to improve lives and to transform lives," Google CEO Larry Page said. "The truth is what seems a little far off in the future to us now is really right around the corner. The future becomes the present, tomorrow becomes today."
Google Inc. won't be charging the school for the space.
The free rent arrangement will last up to 51/2 years, or until the school's permanent home on Roosevelt Island is completed, whichever comes first.
The school will have the option to expand into a total of 58,000 square feet in Google's headquarters.
