Google Sets Up 'Person Finder' To Locate Boston Marathon Victims

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Google has set up a "Person Finder" especially for those trying to find out about their loved-ones in the wake of the Boston Marathon explosions.

The Person Finder project is a project of Google.org, the philanthropic division of Google.

It allows those looking for someone who may have been injured in the explosions to enter a name and search information, and also allows users to enter information about someone who may be missing.

Official numbers also have been set up. Families looking for loved ones should call 617-635-4500, and anyone with any information about the cause of the blasts is asked to call 1-800-494-TIPS.

CBS Boston also advises registering with the Red Cross to get in touch with family and friends who may be worried about you if you were at the Marathon.

At least three people are dead and 144 were injured after two explosions went off near the finish line of the marathon, police said.
