Gillibrand Trying To Sell Hudson Valley Home
HUDSON, N.Y. (AP) -- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is trying to sell her five-bedroom home in the Hudson Valley for $1.48 million.
A spokesman for the senator said Thursday that Gillibrand and her husband plan to buy a house closer to family in the Albany area.
The New York Times, which first reported on the sale, said the current list price is down from the original asking price in April of $1.71 million. The house, about 110 miles north of New York City, is described in the online real estate listing as having "stunning" views of the Hudson River and Catskills.
Gillibrand and her husband are raising two young sons and rent another home in Washington, D.C.
Gillibrand, appointed to the Senate seat last year, is running for election Tuesday against Republican Joe DioGuardi.
