Giants Long Snapper Zak DeOssie Chosen For Pro Bowl
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie has been chosen to play for the NFC in the Pro Bowl.
Atlanta Falcons coach Mike Smith made the selection on Thursday. It will be DeOssie's second Pro Bowl. He played two years ago.
DeOssie will work with Dallas punter Mat McBriar and Philadelphia kicker David Akers in Hawaii a week from Sunday. It is not known who will be the holder.
The Giants will have four players in the Pro Bowl. Guard Chris Snee will start and defensive end Justin Tuck and safety Antrel Rolle are reserves. Center Shaun O'Hara was also selected to the NFC team, but will not play because of his foot, ankle and Achilles' tendon injuries. O'Hara underwent surgery on his foot on Wednesday.
