Giants Fans Celebrate Big Blue's NFC Championship Win
PARAMUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Giants are NFC Champions, and their fans are ecstatic.
Lawrence Tynes' game-winning 31-yard field goal in overtime kicked off a shopping frenzy at Modell's in Times Square, where the championship tee-shirt became an instant best seller.
"I have to bring some souvenir," Alina Pellot told CBS 2's Dave Carlin. "I am super happy."
"I'm glad I saw the ending of it. Buying a shirt now, how to represent Giants," said Stephanie Espinoza of Forest Hills.

"Once we got to the goal line, we're like 'Yeah!' Oh my God it was a great game," said Christopher Mejia.
That field goal also kicked off pandemonium in sports bars across the region with Giants fans feeling like 2007 all over again.
Some caught the game on the big screen, bundled up outside at the Crossroads of the World.
"It's very chilly outside but it's the best screen in New York," said Joe Hanna of Buffalo.
For some, watching Big Blue beat the 49ers in San Francisco was a family affair.
How could the night not start with optimism at the Wisnewsky house in Paramus? Their NFC Championship party was filled with Giants fans, with game faces on and sporting their team loyalty. Even their dog Marley was in on the action, wearing a Giants sweater.
"Absolutely 100 percent confident, 100 percent confident. The Giants are going to take us to the Super Bowl," Andrew Wisniewski told CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez.
"Let's go G-Men. God bless America and God bless the New York football Giants," said Thomas Berlinski.
The first touchdown had these Big Blue fans screaming with excitement, and feeling very hopeful the 49ers were going down.
"I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I keep going outside because I'm getting so hot from jumping up and down," said Gabriella Mictermeir.
In the second half, nervous faces and fading Super Bowl dreams were drowned out by fourth quarter touchdown jubilation, but it all came down to a nail-biting overtime.
"I'm going to cry, I love it," Isabella Wisniewski said.
"I'm so happy and excited, oh my God" said Mictermeir.
Of course, after Sunday's win, fans are already looking forward to a rematch with New England.
