Giants' Eli Manning On Tom Brady Comparison: 'What Am I Supposed To Say?'
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Is Eli Manning a top 5 quarterback?
The Giants quarterback thinks so, or at least that's what he said in a radio interview on Tuesday. When asked specifically about Patriots star Tom Brady, Manning said: "I consider myself in that class."
From his big show at Giants camp on Wednesday, Mike Francesa asked Manning about the Brady comparison.
"It was kind of like, what am I supposed to say? 'No, I don't think so?'" Manning asked Francesa. "I'm trying to compete, I'm trying to be the best quarterback and get to a championship. That's what I'm trying to do every year."

Even Giants coach Tom Coughlin got in on the act.
"What would you expect him to say? He is for me," said Coughlin.
But there's that little matter of Manning's 25 interceptions in 2010.
Brady? Yeah, he had four.
"What you've got to do is cut down on the mental mistakes," Manning explained to Francesa. "There are some that are just bad decisions; those are on me. Some are tipped that are not on me. Some are tipped because they're high and I'll take (blame) for those."
Another stat to look at: win-loss record.
Manning is 17 games over .500 at 60-43 for his career -- but Brady blows him away at 111-32.
Is there room for improvement for Manning and his 113 career picks? Coughlin, despite his decree that Manning is upper echelon, certainly thinks so.
"Oh, you definitely can improve, and I'm sure he will," Coughlin said. "We had a tipped-ball interception at the end of (Tuesday) that ticked everybody off. He definitely will because he's so much aware of it and so anti-turn-it-over, he will improve."
