Giants' C David Baas Returns, Brandon Jacobs Active Vs. Broncos
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Giants center David Baas will make his regular-season debut against the Broncos after hurting his knee in the preseason.
Baas' return Sunday allows Kevin Boothe to move back to left guard, his normal position.
With Denver cornerback Champ Bailey out for his second straight game with a left foot sprain, Chris Harris replaces him in the lineup.
Other notables inactive for Denver are cornerback Quentin Jammer and tight end Joel Dressen.
New York has decided to sit rookie running back Michael Cox, who has been their No. 1 kickoff returner. Halfback Brandon Jacobs, signed earlier in the week, is active for Manning Bowl III.
