'Game Of Thrones' Author After Latest Jets Loss: 'Life Is Meaningless'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- "A Game Of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin knows a thing or two about massacres, and he witnessed another one Monday night when the Jets lost to the Colts 41-10 on "Monday Night Football."
The Bayonne, New Jersey, native and Jets fan took to his blog Tuesday to express his disappointment about the state of his favorite team.
"Life is meaningless and full of pain," he wrote.
"Those were not the Jets," Martin wrote. "That was the Weehawken High School Junior Varsity dressed up in Jets uniforms, surely."

Now that the 3-9 Jets have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, Martin believes "they will probably win a few meaningless end-of-season games, just to mess up their draft position."
Martin also wrote that an APB has been issued for the Jets' defense and said he's hopeful Bryce Petty, who is expected to start at quarterback the rest of the season, will improve with increased reps.
