Geno Smith Throws First TD Of The Season To Enunwa
By Rahul Lal
Geno Smith has been the topic of conversation in New York since he stepped in for Ryan Fitzpatrick last weekend. Smith is a former second round pick of the Jets and has struggled greatly as a starter in years past. With Fitzpatrick struggling this season, Smith is being given a bit of a test run to see if he can get any positive momentum going.
He started off the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens with a big confidence boost hitting Quincy Enunwa for a 69 yard touchdown. It's worth noting that Enunwa made the play happen using some fancy footwork and flat out speed to run the ball into the endzone.
Midway through the second quarter, the Jets trail the Ravens 7-13. Smith has performed relatively well thus far completing a modest four of eight passes for 95 yards and the touchdown shown above. In order for the Jets to pull the win out, Smith will need to avoid committing key turnovers and look to take advantage of coverage when he can.
