Gas Prices Going Down In Time For July 4th Holiday Weekend
YONKERS, NY (WCBS 880) - Are you hoping to hit the road for Independence Day weekend? There's some good news for you!
Gas prices are heading down!
The going cash rate along Central Park Avenue in Yonkers and Scarsdale is $3.95 a gallon.
Though at least two stations were dropping their prices another two or three cents.
At one station in Yonkers prices went from $3.99 on Saturday to $3.91 by Monday morning.

One station owner, who didn't want to give his name, said there should be some more drama.
"If you notice when the price of oil goes up, it jumps a lot quicker - the gas, and when it drops lower, it tends to take a while for the gas to lower down, but it should be a lot lower now," he said.
Station owners say the prices are twenty or thirty cents off their peak.
One driver told WCBS 880 reporter Paul Murnane that every penny counts.
"Everything makes a difference. A penny saved is a penny earned. So, anything makes a difference," said one driver.
