Garden State Gasoline Prices Rise Slightly
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Motorists are seeing slightly higher prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in the Garden State on Friday was $3.05, up a penny from last week.
That's also higher than a year ago, when New Jersey motorists were paying $2.56.
Meanwhile, the national average price rose to $3.12, up 2 cents from last week. That's also higher than the national average from a year ago, which was $2.66.
Gas prices have been on the upswing in recent weeks, mostly due to rising crude oil prices and the recent unrest in Egypt.
