Garbage Fire Breaks Out At JFK Airport Cargo Building
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Three people were hospitalized, 15 more were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation Tuesday evening, after a garbage fire broke out in a cargo building at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The fire broke out around 8 p.m. Tuesday in JFK Airport Building 23, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed.
Three people were taken to Jamaica Hospital in Queens in unknown conditions for smoke inhalation, while another 15 were treated at the scene, officials told 1010 WINS.
The FDNY also responded to the scene.
