Bomb Squad Investigating After Explosions Rock New Rochelle
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Investigators were searching for suspects Monday night, following a series of explosive devices detonated in New Rochelle.
Police said the devices were detonated in three separate incidents.
Two explosives were detonated in an Iona College parking lot the past two Fridays, WCBS 880's Alex Silverman reported.
"Bang. I mean, you couldn't miss it, something big had happened," a woman who lives nearby told Silverman. "We didn't hear sirens afterwards or anything like that, so we weren't really concerned. We didn't know what it was."

There was a third blast at Huguenot Park near New Rochelle High School, according to police.
"Up there, they did find a steel garbage can which had been apparently destroyed by some sort of explosive," New Rochelle police captain Joseph Schaller told Silverman.
The Westchester County Bomb Squad has been called in to try to figure out what the devices were made of.
"We believe it's probably fireworks possibly in a container with some sort of black powder involved," said Schaller. "Explosion is alarming, I'm sure it's alarming to people in the area," Schaller said.
Police are working with Iona College security, but so far no suspect has been named, Silverman reported.
There were no reports of injuries in connection with the incidents.
